During the battle of Manhattan, Warren was moving about quickly, trying to get as many pictures as he could to sell to the newspaper. He was sure the heroes would win the day and all would be well, and he had rent to pay. He stumbled over a hunk of rubble and upon a dying alien. Before he could react, the alien reached out and grabbed him, linking their minds together and granting the alien's abilities to Warren. The alien's physical form died, but his mind now lives on within Warren's, and together, they fight to keep others safe.
