"Female and hot. That's my type," Xavier said when he heard Cass' comment to Bevill. He couldn't help but let a chuckle out. And he heard the light chuckle that came from her. That was enough for him. He was breaking her down bit by bit. She liked him, and that brought a smirk to his face. He took another shot, putting down one of the gangsters coming closer to the building. He listened to the exchange as if he were watching a television show. "Oh, yeah, like he doesn't know what money," he said with a grin. He took another shot, still playing a bit, but doing what he had to do. "Bang! Bang! Bang bang bang!" he shouted out as he shot. "Just gave that dude a free nose job," he chuckled.
He gasped when he heard her warn him about pulling a weapon. "In ya eye!" he shouted. Part of him knew that would bring about a chuckle. He listened for it for a moment before returning to shooting people. "This is like playing Call of Duty, except, well.....it's not the same game every year with just an added twist here and there." He glanced over into the window and saw her fling another knife. It went in the same direction as the first, and he heard Bevill grunt. "Aww, she killed him," he said, still like he was watching a television show. "And I thought they'd be such a great couple."
Well there was no need in letting the other two gangsters get inside now, considering that Bevill was dead. He took three more shots, which took out the last three men. He heard her comment on their teamwork and instruction on where to meet her. "See you there," he said as he collapsed his rifle and put it back in the case. He was quick to grab all the shells as well. Sure he was fun-loving, but he was all about business too. Well, the business of not getting caught. He used a very specific round after all. Once he'd gathered them, he went back down the fire escape and to the meeting place. "You, milady, are certainly very effective," he said with a smirk. "So what's the plan?"

Luckily, Xavier took out the remaining men who’d originally been targeting Bevill. Well, maybe that was unlucky. She wouldn’t have minded running into one or two and getting a decent fight in. It was probably for the best though, in the long run. It would have been difficult for her to fight the bag of money in her hand. Getting across the rooftops to their rendezvous point was a simple task with no major obstacles. Heh. She hadn’t had anything go this smoothly for a while. Maybe he was good luck. Nah. This was just a good night. Besides, she couldn’t get attached even if she wanted to. The people around her always got hurt, or left. Better to work alone. It was just safer for everyone that way. Depressing, possibly, but safer.
“You’re not half bad yourself,” Cassandra replied with a smirk of her own. She stopped a couple of yards away from him and tossed the bag of money in his direction. “That’s your share. I took my cut already.” Her head tilted slightly, an eyebrow raising when he asked what they were going to do from here. She would have thought that was fairly obvious. “The plan is for us to take our money and go our separate ways. Unless you’re planning on following me around again?” she teased. All she really had planned at this moment was finding somewhere within walking distance where she could get a good, stiff drink.

Xavier was having too much fun. Of course, this time was a little different. Cassandra was playing hard to get, and she didn't even seem to know it herself. He liked that. He tilted his head as she stepped forward, smirking when she'd said he wasn't so bad himself. He just did see the bag coming and caught it. Ah, so she was ready to end this night. Xavier gave an exaggerated frown with his lower lip sticking out. "You sure you want that?" he asked quizzically. "I mean, I'm damned good company. Funny, charming, drop dead sexy. But you know all that already." He chuckled as he flipped the money bag over his shoulder, carrying it Santa Claus style. "I could follow you anywhere, babe." He wouldn't mind watching that ass bounce with each step.
He shook himself from that thought for a moment. Part of him could understand why she just wanted to be alone. The life of an assassin was a lonely one. That was sort of the way it was meant to be. But there really was no need to be a bummer about it. It was for that reason that Xavier made sure to keep good company as often as possible. Cass seemed like she'd be great company, as soon as she realized that she was warming up to him, anyway. "I have a better idea," he stated. "Whaddaya say we go hit The Hole In The Wall?" he asked. It was a little dive bar not too far from their current location, and it was known for their quick witted bartenders and great service.

Okay, so the pout was kinda cute. Cassandra would never admit that, especially not to him, but it was true. He was a pretty fucking hot guy, and he knew it. There was no need to further inflate that ego. Now if she could only decide whether his personality amused her or got on her nerves, that would really be great. “And to top it off, you’re so damn humble. I don’t know how you manage…” It wasn’t entirely surprising to her that he didn’t want to part ways with her yet, but if he was expecting something to happen between the two of them he was going to be sorely disappointed. Probably. She’d already admitted to herself that she found him attractive, so she couldn’t say that it was impossible. Just highly unlikely.
It would be much easier to keep her distance if she just parted ways with him here. The chances of her ever bumping into him again wouldn’t be very high, even given that they were in the same line of work. But hell, that would still be true even if she didn’t run off right away. She’d been looking for a place to grab a drink anyway, so there was no need to be rude and go out of her way to avoid him. Even the name of the place he suggested sounded just like her cup of tea. A few drinks, and then she would be gone. “Fair enough. Lead the way.” It was a little chilly for her anyway with just a tank top and a skirt on, so the sooner she could get inside the better. She’d have to go retrieve her original clothes later on, as well as the cash she’d stashed. “But… don’t call me babe.”

"Well I'm a multi-tasker," Xavier answered back with a chuckle. "I'm good at doing lots of things at once, including being humble." Okay so the being humble part wasn't true at all, but somehow he managed to keep a straight face when he said that. She seemed receptive to the idea of getting a drink at the tavern, even telling him to lead the way. He thought to make a remark about her daggers and his back since she'd be following him, but he pushed that aside and lead the way to the small tavern. As soon as they entered, he was greeted by the flirty barkeeper, Megan. "Heya, blue eyes," she said. "Sup, titty city?" he responded as she leaned on the counter, letting her ample cleavage spill nearly out of her low cut top. A grin crossed his face before he turned to Cassandra.
He tilted his head slightly. "Keep the rounds coming," he said over his shoulder. He then pointed to the pool table in the corner. "You got any game?" he asked as he started towards the table. A waiter brought the first rounds of whiskey to them. "Been looking for some competition," he remarked as he pointed to the chalkboard with the win/loss stats. His name was at the top of the list, with twenty six wins and only four losses. The losses had been him just playing around. There was that one blonde though that only won because she'd distracted him with her breasts. That was his story anyway. She had actually been a damn good stick handler....in more ways than one, Xavier remembered. Another chuckle came over him as he drained his first drink.

Titty City? Seriously? Cass chuckled and shook her head slightly. The bartender didn’t seem to mind the nickname at all, but honestly Cass would probably punch the lights out of any guy who called her that. Not that any guy really would, though. She was not quite as well-endowed as the woman behind the bar, and also didn’t tend to wear shirts that were cut that low. Anyway, that wasn’t the important part. The important part came in the form of Nighteye ordering the drinks. He hadn’t specified a particular kind of alcohol, which told her that he had a ‘usual’ and had been here often enough that Titty City knew what it was.
Of course, it had to be whiskey. That shit tended to get her into trouble, so she would have to be careful. “I dabble a bit…” she responded with a smirk when he asked if she could play pool. Her fingers wrapped around her glass of whiskey and lifted, allowing her to swallow the contents. Pretty good stuff. But now she had to traverse to the wall and pick herself a pool cue of appropriate size. Because yes, size did matter. “So I’m guessing you haven’t launched a voyage to see all the wonders of ‘Titty City’ yet? If you brought me here to make her jealous, you really didn’t need to bother. She wants you bad.” She picked a cue and stood at the end of the table, waiting for him to rack the balls so they could start their game.

Xavier noted the chuckle, but didn't see the head shake. He was getting his cue by then. He spun it around in his hand and rolled it over his shoulder. He turned his head when she spoke after getting her cue. He chuckled at her comment. "Nah, she's not really my type. Ain't a guy comes through here that doesn't get a ticket on that voyage," he answered with a smirk. Besides, he'd already gone on that voyage anyway. But Cass didn't need to know that.
It didn't take but a few seconds for him to rack the balls, ensuring the one was at the front and the eight in the middle. He pushed the triangle back and forward a couple times before pulling it off, then put the triangle on a hook by the cues. Xavier pulled a ten dollar bill from his pocket and set it on the end of the table. "Ten bucks says that you don't knock in any balls on the break."

Cassandra turned a skeptical eye to her companion when he claimed not to be interested in the blonde. “I thought female and hot was your type? She qualifies…” Then it clicked, and she smirked. “Oh I get it, you’ve already fucked her. Makes sense. You don’t really strike me as a repeat performance kind of guy.” It was difficult for her to imagine the kind of woman that could tie a guy like him down. One night stands definitely seemed more like his style.
Money had now been put down on the table. Cass clicked her tongue as her hazel eyes traveled back and forth from him to the money and back again. “Oh pretty boy… you haven’t gotten me nearly drunk enough that you should be doubting me already.” She shook her head as she fished a ten dollar bill from her pocket and set it on the table, not entirely sure whether to be amused or disappointed that he was underestimating her. Placing the cue ball in her favorite spot on the table, she took a moment to line up her shot before going for it. God she loved that clack sound the initial impact made. “Looks like I’m stripes…” she said with a smirk after sinking the 13-ball. Her hand reached out to grab the money on the table and stuff it in her pocket.

Ah deductive reasoning.....the bane of Xavier's existence. He gave a sly grin when she said that he'd already fucked the busty woman, then conceded the point with a nod and a shrug of his shoulders. "Kind of a just to say I've done it thing," he admitted, but the last part of her reasoning caught his attention. "Oh, I'm a repeat performer alright. Nevermind that the repeat performance happens the same night." Stamina, baby. Stamina. It didn't bother him at all that she was attempting to tear him down with her words, despite the thinly veiled interest that she had. Most women were the same when it came to the fundamentals. They wanted a man so they could change him, make him in her image. Cass didn't seem to be that type. "She was alright, I guess," he said suddenly. "Didn't really move her hips that well though."
He liked that she was game for the bet. He wasn't underestimating her at all. He'd seen the way she threw those knives, and knew that she would be a deadly marksman even with a poolstick. But there were subtleties to this table that she wouldn't know about. Yes, Xavier was cheating, and was collectively very cool about it. "You really think I'm pretty?" he said with a half laugh. He watched as the 13 ball dropped into a pocket. "Nice shot. Let's double up." He put a twenty on the table, and pointed at the 11. It was a clear shot, or so it seemed. There was a small divet on the table that the human eye couldn't see. But his could. But let's make it interesting, he thought. He pointed to the opposite pocket. "11 in that pocket, bank shot. You think you can do that?" he asked with the same smile as before. "Don't wanna make it too easy on you with that straight shot. You're not like me, you don't like easy." He chuckled.

Cass frowned. “Seriously? That’s a damn shame. It’s nowhere near as much fun when both people don’t know how to move their hips.” Titty City definitely just lost a bunch of points in Cass’ book with that revelation. Personally, the brunette never had any complaints in that regard, but she certainly wasn’t about to tell him that. It might make him think that she was trying to get with him, which she wasn’t. Sure he was hot, but she he knew it and she was too stubborn to give in to his advances now. Though she had learned at least one important piece of information. He wasn’t just all talk. That blonde had already gotten a ride on his boat, and she was practically drooling over the idea of getting a second chance. Cass didn’t plan on doing anything with that information, but it was always good to know which dogs were all bark, and which ones had a little bite in them.
He really needed to learn not to push anything that sounded too much like a compliment coming from her. “Yep. Pretty, pretty princess.” Hmm. Maybe she should just call him Princess from now on. She kinda liked that. Just the idea made her smirk. The waitress brought over another round of drinks and Cass quickly downed her whiskey. God she loved that burning sensation as it traveled down her throat. It was only once she’d set the empty glass back down that she turned her attention to the pool table. He was trying to tell her which shots to take now. Yeah right. “What makes you think I don’t like easy?” He knew nothing about her really. The only reason he knew her name was because he’d overheard Bevill say it earlier. “I don’t wanna take all your money. Then I’d be the one stuck with the bill.” Instead of going for the 11, she sunk the 15 in the opposite corner pocket. Her next shot after that went for the 9, but it bounced off the pocket. “Well, shit…”He was a sniper, so she knew he had to be good at this game. Maybe she’d get lucky and he wouldn’t be able to hold his liquor.

Xavier shrugged. It was just fact. "So true," he stated flatly, but gave a slight smirk after. "She didn't mind me busting off all over her face though, so there's that." Yeah, it was vulgar, and gross when he actually thought about it, but it was also just fact. He had a feeling though, that Cass would be the opposite. Those hips were just perfect, there was no way that she didn't know how to move them. He put back another shot when the waitress brought it over. "Pretty princess," he said with a laugh. Nah, that didn't bother him at all. He was having a good time here. The view of her bending over the table was priceless. Seriously priceless, he'd gladly have paid every dime in his pocket to just sit like that all night long. Not that he wouldn't want to get his hands all over that, of course. He shrugged when she asked what made him think that she didn't like easy. "Just a feeling, I guess."
She took the easy shot, then missed the next. "Ooh, tough break there," he said as he stood and picked up his cue. He spun the stick around in his hand and lined up his first shot. He was going to show off a bit. He bounced the 7 ball over the 9 and knocked in the 4. Then he moved, and putting the proper english on the cue ball, knocked in the 7 with a curving shot. Placing the stick behind his back, he took a shot and knocked in the 1. He continued showing off until he'd knocked in all of the solids, and only the 8 sat waiting for him. He took back another shot and rolled his neck a bit. He then gave her a smirk and set the cue stick against the table. "Not gonna do this the easy way, babe. Bank shot of the far rail, eight ball corner pocket." In most of his games, he would call his every shot. But most people wouldn't play the game with him, just because they knew who he was. Cass knew, but she still braved to play him. He liked that. The balls clacked together and the 8 went into the pocket he'd called. "Looks like I win. Rematch?"

“Whoa whoa whoa… TMI, Princess.” Yep. That was her new name for him, from now until… forever. At least for the rest of the night, since she still figured that she wasn’t likely to see him again after they left this bar and went their separate ways. But anyway, yeah… that particular image was one that she did not want stuck in her head. Cum facials were definitely not her cup of tea, but hey if that was what he was into. Obviously Titty City was down for anything if it meant getting another night with him in the sack. It was almost too bad that Xavier wasn’t interested. Not that it was any of her business anyway, though.
He totally kicked her ass all over the pool table. “Well shit…” Cass couldn’t say that she was surprised, being a sniper and all, but when he could knock all the balls into the pockets on one turn it wasn’t much of a competition. So when he asked if she wanted to play again, at first she was almost tempted to say no. But what would they do then? Play darts? That wouldn’t go much differently than this game had. Pool was more fun anyway, so what the hell? The waitress brought more shots and she took the two for herself. At this point she had a pretty good buzz going on and she wanted to keep it going. “Sure, why not? But first I want you to show me how to do that curve shot.” It had been a pretty impressive trick. There was a risk though. Many girls would use a play like this to get a guy closer to them. Cass wasn’t much of one for games. She really just wanted to learn the damn trick.

Xavier shrugged. Yeah, he figured that would be a bit too much info. "Hey, knowledge is power," he said with a smirk and another shrug. Running the table was easy enough. He'd played on this table so many times now that even if he weren't a sharpshooter he could probably do it still. Of course, without his augmented vision, it would be a hell of a lot harder. Her reaction to his running the table drew a slight chuckle from him. It wasn't the first time he'd gotten that reaction, although usually, the reaction was much more violent. He leaned back against the table after her answer to whether she wanted another game, nodding and giving an interesting expression that curled up into a smile. "No problem," he said as he moved some of the balls on the table to recreate the shot. "Truth be told, it's a lot easier than it looks. It's all about the angle you hit the cue ball at." He pulled back to cue, looking over to make sure she was watching, even shook his butt a bit to be funny, and without looking back at the cue ball, took the shot.
-clack, clack, thunk-
Just like before, the ball curved on the table and knocked in another. He didn't even bother to look back, until he turned back to pick the ball out of the pocket and reset the shot. Handing her the cue, he extended his hand to her to lean in. Most men would take this opportunity to get behind the woman, and Xavier thought about it of course, but what good would it do? At least until later on when she finally becomes more comfortable with him. "Okay, so eye down the stick," he said, then pulled the stick just a touch towards him. "When you take the shot, give the stick a small counter clockwise spin and hit the cue ball here," he said as he pointed to the spot where she needed to hit the cue ball. He stepped back and waited for her to take the shot. Just as the stick hit the cue ball, one of the other patrons of the bar walked by them, putting out his meaty hand and taking a handful of Cass' ass. "Damn, dude. That was a good idea, but not a good idea, know what I'm sayin'?" Xavier stepped back and let the chaos begin.

Cass watched him carefully as he lined up the shot. Over the years, watching other people, watching movies… it was how she’d learned to do a lot of stuff. Like even fighting. She knew there were people out there that could make a perfect copy of whatever physical movement they saw one time. That wasn’t her. But a lifetime of honing her observation for survival purposes made her pretty damned good at it. He didn’t even really need to explain the trick itself once she’d seen it again, although the explanation did help her refine some of the more delicate points in her mind. The shot was badass, and she wanted to get it right.
Despite the amount of focus she was putting into the shot, and the instructions given to her by Princess, she could still feel in her periphery that someone was approaching. She didn’t think much of it as she took the shot, managing a successful curve although it wasn’t as sharp as the one Xavier had perfected. But once she felt that hand on her ass, that deliberate squeeze… Princess knew better than to do that. That meant… She straightened up and turned to look at the man who was only a couple of steps away. “Hey, wait…” she called to the man, the slightly seductive tone of her voice causing the man to come to a complete stop and turn around to face her. Cass set the pool cue down on the table and stepped toward him. “You forgot something…”
“Oh yeah?” The big man said with a smirk on his face. “Oh yeah…”
Cass had him sized up in an instant. A few inches taller than Princess, and definitely wider. When did that ever stop her, though…? She reached out and laid a hand on his chest, smirking playfully as she whispered into his ear. “You forgot this…” She lifted her foot and slammed in back down onto his foot. The pain and surprise caused the man to crumble forward just slightly, but that was enough for Cass to use his momentum against him. She grabbed the collar of his shirt and threw him forward into what appeared to be a group of bikers sitting at a table. Oops. Looked like she’d spilled some beers… Luckily their attention (and anger) seemed to be directed toward Ass-Grabber for the moment. They grabbed him. Oh dear. Hopefully that guy came with some friends, because otherwise he was about to get his ass whooped...

And here Xavier was, just expecting a nice night of fun and games....ha, yeah right. He knew immediately that how she reacted was a ploy, and he wanted so much to see it play out. He smiled, though in his mind he was thinking one simple phrase. "You fucked up, buddy." The throw was perfect, as if she'd done it before, and the man's clearly immense size didn't disable her at all. He couldn't help it. "Oh you got knocked the Fuckout!" he hollered across the room towards the ass-grabber. He turned and nodded to Cass. "Great throw. Little to the left next time though. You hit center mass on the table, someone his size falling just an inch in any other direction, funny as shit to see the table flip." He nodded again.
Unfortunately, the guy did have friends, and they were up now, a lot of friends. That's when Xavier recognized the man. "Tony? Dude, really?" Tony got up after his friends cleared up the smaller group of bikers. They turned their attention then to Xavier and Cass. Tony pointed to Cass, and all eight of the men started towards her. Xavier stood and went to the pool table, preparing to take another shot. Tony's eyes shot wide open. "Stop!" he yelled, but it wasn't in time before the clack of ball against ball was heard. Two balls flew off the table, smacking into two the the guys heads and knocking them out. "I've got eight more balls, fellas," he said, then stopped. "Huh. Don't think I've ever said that before," he chuckled.
"Damn you, Xavier!" Tony yelled. "Don't damn me. You're the one grabbin' on bitches in here. Only a matter of time before someone turns around and kicks you right in the centimeter."
Incensed, Tony and his friends lunged forward. "Looks like we're fighting," Xavier said to Cass. "I'm not exactly a diplomat," he chuckled as he threw another ball, missing his "target", except it wasn't his target. The throw was meant to fall behind the man so his buddy would step on it and slip, which happened. Xavier burst out laughing. "Seven!" he exclaimed as he leapt over the pool table, cue still in hand.
