Really and truly, there was no need for that extra motivation. Just the thought of the woman in his lap made Sam rock hard. But she knew just how to tease him to send him over the edge, every time. It was something that he definitely appreciated about her, that she took the time to have learned exactly what drove him crazy. And it was what made her worth him doing the same for her. God how he loved to feel her body tremble at his touch. It wasn't even an ego thing really. It was just a man wanting to make sure that his woman was as pleasured as he was. Okay, so it was a point of personal pride for him. But the truth was that when it came to anything now, it was all about Cori. Sam knew that he would sacrifice everything for her, and he'd do it a million times over just to ensure that she was never uncomfortable.
So now here she was, pushing his buttons more and more. "Yeah, but any view of you is amazing," he answered her smirking comment. So deeply entrenched in looking her over was he that he barely even noticed her hand take his. That was, until she moved it up her body. His eyes closed slowly, opening again as his smile grew when she brought his finger to her mouth. "Damn right, I do," he answered slowly. Damn, the way she did that... it more than made the tension get back quicker. Before another thought could even enter his head, he was throbbing again, and she was riding. Bringing his hand slowly back down her body, he moved his hands along her long legs, up and down with the same rhythm that she was keeping up. He moans softly, letting her know just how good it felt.
As it continued on, so perfect as it was, he began to meet her every hip motion again, until he sat up slowly, pulling her close to him again and rolling them over to her back. Even in the times when they were making love and not just fucking, because there is a difference, there was still that brief period of time when Sam would get carried away and go harder, and that was exactly what he did now. Ramming hard into her repeatedly, pulling almost all the way out and roughly back in. It was a brief change of pace before he settled back into a slow rhythm. She just got him that way, got him so excited that he'd get carried away. And she knew that she could do that. He was sure she loved it too.

Of course she knew he would be able to get ready again on his own. Even on their first night together he’d had his stamina on full display, bringing her to climax over and over again until she’d fallen blissfully asleep in his arms. Considering that had been the starting point for them, it was hard for anyone outside the relationship to believe that things had only gotten better for them from there. Love between them had grown quickly. It had actually scared Cori a bit at first. How could something that had happened almost instantaneously be real? How could it last long term? Somehow, miraculously, they’d managed to make things work so far.
He was her rock, whether or not he realized it. The number of times she’d doubted herself, doubted what was going to happen or how her life would turn out. Sam had always believed in her and encouraged her to go after the things she wanted. He made her want to be a better person because of his own drive to chase his dreams. She wasn’t afraid of the future anymore. Sam would always be there. There was no doubt in her mind about that anymore, and the more time they spent together the more certain she was that they were both in this for the long haul. She’d been surprised by Sam’s reaction to the coach calling her Mrs. Franklin, but that had been the timing of it more than the idea itself. They hadn’t discussed it, but there was no doubt in her mind that she would say yes if the time ever came for him to ask that question.
Everything he did was magic. Even the way his hands brushed over her thighs sent little shivers of delight up and down her body. She leaned forward, speeding up the movement of her hips a little bit just in time for him to pull her close and flip her onto her back. She grinned, knowing exactly what was going to come next. It was the times like this that drove her over the edge every time. Going slow was always great, but the speed and power he sometimes used gave her no chance at all for recovery or escape. There was no real way for her to describe how amazing it felt when he got a little rough this way. With how close she’d already been, having Sam lose control now meant it didn’t take long for her to cum again. Her arms and legs tightened around him, fingers digging into his back as she completely lost control.

He felt so much. For the longest time Sam would keep telling himself that it just wasn't fair. How could he have attracted such a perfect woman? But the thing about it is that when the two of them were together, magic just happened. Nights like this were just proof of that. Their bodies intertwined flawlessly, just a fluid mess of legs and arms that moved together in the type of harmony you'd only find in an old school love song. Holding her closely after he calmed from getting carried away, after feeling her go over the edge again, he settled again into a slower rhythm. His hands continued to explore the perfect body of hers that he'd come to know so well, his lips touched hers in what could only be described as love.
All of these thoughts going through his head, all of the time they would spend together, all of it came to one simple thought in his head....and it was time to act on it now. Well, in a couple minutes anyway. It was after that couple of minutes that Sam finished again. Holding them both steady he caught his breath, bringing himself back to earth from the world shattering climax that she always brought him to. "So I found it in a store a few days back but I just have to go pick it up. But..."
He rolled to his back, not letting his hand leave her body until he sat up. With the biggest smile he'd had on his face since the day he met her, he dropped down to one knee, which was a bit awkward at the moment considering the dangly bits slapping against his thigh. He took her hands and pulled her up to a sitting position, kissing her knuckles and wrists. He looked up to her with all the desire he'd ever had for her still tangible. "Cordelia Christenson, my heart, my soul, my life....my everything...this world wouldn't be right without you. I'd be lost, and I'd never have known what true love is. Because of you I do, and I need that forever. I need you, forever. Cori, I love you so much. Will you marry me?"

One of Cori’s favorite parts of any night with Sam was the way he held her after it was all over. Feeling his strong arms around her. She felt protected, desired. Loved. Everything a woman wanted to feel when she was with her man. Her eyes slid closed as she treasured this moment, allowing herself to really take in the sensation of his touch, the sound of his breathing as it slowed, everything. It was warm and relaxing - exactly what she needed now after the crazy day this had been. She could still hardly believe that her boyfriend was actually going to be a professional football player. It all just felt like a dream.
Her eyes remained closed, and Cori had found herself drifting off a little before she heard him speak. “Hmm? Found what, babe?” She opened her eyes when he let go of her and moved away. His words confused her. More specifically, his use of the ‘it’ pronoun. Was he continuing a conversation they’d had earlier and she just wasn’t tracking? She tried to think back to what they’d been talking about before making their way to the bedroom. During the movie, maybe? After the draft when they were in the car? There was nothing she could think of that would give her a hint as to what he was talking about.
Sam didn’t keep her in suspense for very long. As soon as he dropped down onto one knee next to the bed and pulled her into an upright seated position, her breath caught in her throat. She was also pretty sure that her eyes were opened wide to the point of nearly bulging out of their sockets. He was asking her to marry him, for real. ‘It’ was a ring. And seeing him like this, strong yet vulnerable in his nudity while baring his heart and soul to her, it was perfect. She couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, intimate proposal. She managed to smile even though she was fighting back tears. “Yes! Of course I will!” Throwing her arms around him, she kissed him deeply. "I love you so much..."

In no dream, no fantasy, no stretch of his imagination had Sam ever....ever....thought that he would propose to someone. There was just no way. He was a player. Or so he'd been called so many times. The truth though, was that he was an old soul. He believed in finding that special someone, that soul mate, to share his life with for the rest of time. But still, he never would have imagined that he would ever find her. Part of him felt like he didn't deserve it. Living his life bouncing from bed to bed or backseat to backseat had been fun, but it wasn't fulfilling. And then Cori came along.
It was fitting that they'd met at a frat party. Both of them were about that sort of life back then. It was also fitting that they'd fucked on the football field. It still surprised him after all this time that they'd not gotten in trouble for that. But they'd started off having fun together, and they knew what they were getting into. But somehow Sam doubted that either of them thought it would go this far. He sure was glad that it did though. He legitimately believed that there was no possible way he could have achieved all he had without having this woman in his corner. So right now, dropped to one knee in front of her, bare assed and smiling, he knew he was making the right choice. Her arms wrapped quickly around him, and his returned that to her, pulling her close to him. That kiss was all he could have ever dreamed of. And she'd said yes. Sam was ecstatic.
"I love you too, babe," he answered, then kissing her again. There would be a lot to plan, a lot of things that needed to be done to prepare for it. But together they could face the world. Of that, Sam was one hundred percent certain. "I swear to you. Since we first met and from this moment on, you are the only one I'll ever love. The only one for me. You've always been my wife. Now we're just going to make it official." Sam chuckled then. "I'll even forgive you if you are a bit of a bridezilla," he teased.

Their wedding would be great, she was sure. Full of things that made them both happy. But for Cori, even the ring was unnecessary. It was merely an outside indication of the commitment she’d had for their relationship since the moment they decided to be exclusive. That was why it meant so much to her to hear him say those words. She’d always been his wife to him. Yes, that was true for her too. Making it official was almost more for their friends and family to celebrate with them. Celebrating something they’d already felt and known for the last couple of years.
“Are you kidding? I could marry you tomorrow at the courthouse in jeans and your football jersey and I’d be the happiest woman in the world.” Of course she had some ideas about the ceremony, but she’d never been the kind of girl that spent a lot of time fantasizing about that kind of thing. She hadn’t expected to ever get married in the first place. Not before she and Sam got serious, anyway. The kind of love they shared was unbreakable. Considering the way they’d both been living before they met at that party, it was kind of a miracle they’d managed to make it work. Friends on both sides hadn’t expected it to last more than a month, maybe two or three. All had been proven wrong long ago.
Like she was the type that would be a bridezilla. Hmph. She laughed a little and kissed him again. “The one you have to worry about being any kind of ‘zilla is dad.” Her father hadn’t been terribly thrilled when they got together. She was supposed to be coupled up with someone from high society, maybe the son of one of her father’s business partners. Sam having a contract with a professional football team would help, though. She just hoped they didn’t have to get too much money from him for the ceremony itself, or he might think he got to have some kind of input. That was not allowed. It would be her and Sam’s day, no one else’s.
