POWERS
● Telempathy: The power to sense emotions and send her own emotions to others. This pure form of telepathy is a natural ability of the Jyk species and the main form of communication on her home planet. The capability to outwardly express herself is limited. She shows little outward emotion and doesn't really understand nuance or body language. Communicating with beings who are verbally and physically adept can sometimes very difficult.
● Viscokinesis: The power to manipulate her own viscosity so Zel can mutate between liquid and solid form. Likewise, she can control any fluid she comes in contact with, increasing or decreasing the liquid density at will. This is a natural Jyksian defense ability that renders the species unaffected by common injury, as well as impervious to hand-to-hand combat, many types of elemental magic, and solid weapons. However, the Jyk are susceptible to contamination, certain poisons, acid, electricity, and heat and fire-related magic.

● Apathetic Aural Shield: A tungsten shield enhanced with Naux'hz (a fiber 500,000 times stronger than Kevlar) and Athars (gems that emit a magical forcefield-like aura to protect against damage caused by mental powers.
● Damaged Communication Ring: A rhombus-shaped ring that, when pressed to her forehead, is used for communication with those on her home planet. It was severely damaged by acid from a fuel leak when her pod crashed on Earth and currently not working. She's spent countless hours trying to find a way to fix the ring or someone who can help.

HISTORY
Sarnik-Qaz was a very peaceful planet of races who coexisted fruitfully, thanks to generations upon generations dedicated to education and fortification. It was the leading producer of scholars, engineers and scientists in the Tarrk galaxy. Zel attended the Junior Academy of Interplanetary Studies in 0001 District with a special focus study on the Milky Way galaxy. For her exit study, she was one of six commissioned to travel to the Milky Way to devise a method of sourcing energy from Neptune or Uranus. Three pods, housing two students each, set off for the outer planets of the Milky Way. Months later, as they were passing Earth's orbit, Zels' piloting mechanism locked and were overridden by home base autopilot operations, forcing them to head towards Earth. Just after hitting Earth's atmosphere, the travel pod lost all power and they crashed in a mountainous area of the planet. Zel doesn't remember much about the crash, only being rescued from some type of government agency then finding the Eagle's Nest. Her age in human years was fourteen, so they took her into training. She recently learned that her home planet has been destroyed, and there are at least two of her fellow students alive on Earth. She is determined to find them and find out what happened to her home.

● On her home planet, she is a compact and virtually featureless life force, manifesting to a form that is only two feet tall, but Earth's gravity stretches her to an inhuman height of 6'7.
● The fluid beneath the skin of the soles of her feet move like a continuous track (tank tread) which makes walking like a normal human a consistent challenge. Shoes are nearly damned impossible so she prefers to go barefoot.
