Selina’s history is fairly basic in comparison to many, and honestly not very interesting. Her parents were happily married and kept their daughter as protected from the world as humanly possible. They did not allow her to feel an ounce of pain that was not absolutely necessary. That also meant that she was not allowed to go many places with the other kids and experience the joys of early childhood rebellion, apart from the occasional scream-fest and wild temper tantrum of course. It wouldn’t be a real childhood without those. In just about every other way Selina was spoiled by her parents. Her father worked as a successful criminal lawyer, and with the added income from her mother’s bookshop they were able to afford just about anything a little girl could possibly want. Spending time listening to her father talk about his cases gave her an early curiosity about what went on in the criminal mind, and drove her to study psychology.
